Default We Agree

If we post our pics, free member or not, we should be able to delete what we post. Making us pay for that copyright protection amounts to DMW admin. stealing our pics.

Could be a nice law suit here regarding copyright infringement.

Sorry Admins but it is wrong that you cannot delete a picture you post, or delete comments you write unless you pay.

Any picture you post that you want delete, should be deleted instant without a 20 day wait, and messages that you want deleted on pictures should be deleted instant without delay also.

i dont want to create a storm here about this but it would be nice to see this corrected.
Sorry but its only right.

anotnia,
This site is just like any other site out there, such as instagram and Flickr. When you post an image its becomes the property of that company. I know instagram and Flickr can actually sell your images without contacting you. You actually give away your rights to the images you post.

It come down to this... content! The larger your content database is the more your company is worth, for the most part that is. It all in the "Fine Print". So it doesn't surprise me that they pull this crap on people. Just dont post stuff tat you might think twice about or boycott the site.

When Instagram or was it Facebook tried to pull something like that, the users rebelled against them and it forced them to change there terms in there users agreement so that the "people" still owned there images.

By the way I would love to see your gallery, your avatar looks so nice.

There are ways around that. I have a girlfriend that post to Instagram all the time. She puts this little "halo" looking thing on her pic that says "Copyright property of" and her name. If they repost it or edit it without her permission she can sue them. She advised me to start using the same thing for my pics here and a few other sites I post to, but I havent yet.

"being like any other site" is no excuse!
off course , neverthe less any site rules, a picture uploaded is NEVER owned by the site! I understand the site does not want to be paying for copyright material but the intellectual ownership Always stays with the artist or the photograph unless it is bought including the intellectual ownership. Which is not usual!
Therefore an option for an uploader/owner should be build in the site software. It is only reasonable: the account is the customers since he can delete the account and then uploaded material should be deleted from the site too!
I hope everybody sees the natural law of ownership in this. Often legal contracts are put in il-legal words but only if you take them to court a Judge can declare articles unlawful.

Default My prediction is

I predict that, in the very near future Do My Wife will be no more.
Common sense suggest that at the rate they are going, constantly pissing people off by trying to force us to become paying members with various ways to block our way around the site.
This is going to backfire!

To follow up on this:

A) Pictures you upload to this site or any other site do not become property of that site. Copyright laws protect the creator of any image, document or music. If this or any site tried to make you pay to remove your images a simple copyright infringement lawsuit stating that they are displaying your images without your permission would put and end to that.

B) If you want to delete a picture all you have to do is click on the picture and directly under it there is a button that says "DELETE THIS FILE". Just click that button and then you get a warning telling you that the comments will be lost too and it ask if you want to continue. Just click "OK" and the picture is gone off of the site. I just did it with one of my older less popular pictures to make sure I could do it.

If you want to edit the comment you left on a picture just click the "Edit file information" button to the left of the delete file button.

Yes, I agree totally! To bad this site like most sites own your content when you post.
