Celebration Around the Bonfire

This year I decided to celebrate Beltane by having a bonfire at our house and invite some close friends. I had in mind a really simple and small gathering and it was. My husband, myself, our next door neighbors, A younger gal who shared our home for a time and her young male companion, and a friend who presided over the ritual. It was decided that I would be the May Queen and the young companion of the gal who lived with us would be the May King.

I prepared everyone for what was to take place. The priest said his words as I was crowned the May Queen and then the said his words over the King. The King chased me around the fire but soon caught me and we embraced. It was all rather symbolic and went very well. As the King held me close I could feel him pressing against me rock hard. I wondered how big he was and found myself thinking of nothing but this.
