I've had condoms break. They aren't an assured STD prevention.
If I were single, I would not risk STD infection. I'd go blood test.

Condoms are not 100% effective but it sure cuts down on the odds quite a bit. Better than nothing.
Blood tests are great as long as you trust your partner to not have an exchange of bodily fluids since they gave the sample.
Senior citizens are experiencing an uptick in STD's thanks to Viagra and other ED drugs.
They're not really concerned about unwanted pregnancies so they seldom use protection.
I have a friend who works in an assisted living center and she says they find some couple doing the deed at least once a week. Sometimes it's someone they caught previously with a different partner.
