Back in the days of film cameras, I'd drop off the film at the local Ritz Camera and tell them I only wanted the negatives processed, no prints. (I have a negative adapter for my flat bed scanner).
Then when they were ready, I'd have Nina go in to pick them up.

Allowing my wife and my pictures to accidentally or intentionally be viewed or copied would have ended my sharing days with her. I also did my own file recovery using several different software packages and special hardware which could read block by block. Many of our lifestyle friends used me to recover their files, which many tech outfits charged to do for them but never really performed the work, and they were worried about having their files copied. My "fee" was that I be allowed to copy their files for my personal viewing with the understanding I use the same methods to protect their files as I did for my own.
