I don't ride Harleys, never could afford one without financing and nevr wanted to finance. Can't count how many guys tell me "you're the real deal" though. I find old Jap junk bikes and revive them ride em and sell them. I may someday have a Harley, but if I do it will be an Ironhead I can wrench on and love. I'm aware Evos are better engines, but IDC about that. I like old classics better.
If I ever finance a shiny I *might* consider a used Evo sportster someday, but only if I never come across a deal on a basket case or rusbucket Ironhead. If I ever finance a real fancy "shiny" it won't probably be new, but it will be a Triumph Bonniville, one of the new ones. They looks sweet! A rocket 3 is a dream too, but likely out of my range on price, even if I ever could afford it (not sure I could bring myself to spend too much). Valkyries look pretty nice too. It's not what ya ride it's that you ride and how ya ride it. Me I've been a wizard on two wheels since age six. I used to roll the apartment complex on a heavy steel shwinn with a racing slick and a crescent wrench and pliers, helping the other kids adust they bikes and mine too. It gets in the blood for sure. All my uncles knew from when I was a lttle kid where it was going. But then I also grew up with my uncles chopper jockeying in 'Nam with the Harleys parked in the living room of my aunt's aprtment. I laugh a little at credit card bikers and a lot at hipster cafe guys, but in the end, the more us on the road and the less in cages, the better. Though I must say I see credit card bikers scare me with the ineptness regularly. Ride safe. Last edited by SwitchCuck; 11-29-2018 at 05:34 PM. |

I've owned them all, from FLH 45trike,handa, well you get that I've owned them all. I could not find one that I liked so I made my own. Yes you can, I made my own frame and peace parted the rest. Then I rode it across country, Florida to Cali. People refer to me as scooter trash and it fits and I like it. thanks
